Business Analyst

Location: Brooklyn, NY

UNIVERSAL Technologies, LLC is seeking Two (2) experienced Business Analysts for onsite roles in Brooklyn, NY OR within the 5 boroughs as necessary. The ideal candidates come with strong business and data analysis experience to support the full software development lifecycle of enterprise applications. Active LinkedIn preferred. The ideal candidates will also have experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements, developing user stories, coordinating with technical teams and stakeholders, analyzing existing systems and processes, and supporting project deliverables from requirements through implementation.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience performing extensive business and data analysis.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working and coordinating with technical teams to document business and functional requirements.
  • Experience overseeing project deliverables and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience developing and documenting business and technical requirements.
  • Experience identifying, developing, and documenting user stories and translating them into technical requirements and deliverable functionality.
  • Experience analyzing and documenting existing systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, engineers, and other technical teams.
  • Ability to identify business needs and recommend process or system improvements based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Experience developing management reports and disseminating project information.
  • Ability to utilize images, graphs, charts, diagrams, workflows, use cases, and visual prototypes to communicate requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience maintaining documentation for system processes and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

  • Develop business and technical requirements.
  • Identify user stories and translate them into technical requirements as required.
  • Develop user stories and break down requirements into deliverable functionality.
  • Review requirements with stakeholders and obtain their approval.
  • Meet with stakeholders from each business unit impacted by the project, including one-on-one meetings when appropriate, to ensure stakeholder needs and concerns are captured.
  • Identify the target audience for each requirement to support the end-user testing process.
  • Define specific success metrics for determining whether each requirement has been successfully satisfied.
  • Provide management reporting and information dissemination.
  • Analyze and document current systems and processes as presently implemented.
  • Make recommendations for system and process improvements based on client and stakeholder feedback.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to coordinate the development of applications according to specifications and established timelines.
  • Leverage images, graphs, charts, diagrams, workflows, use cases, and visual prototypes to clearly communicate documented requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation related to system processes and procedures.
